Quantifying Risk and Uncertainty
This course is designed to provide an improved understanding of the
processes underlying petroleum resource assessments. SEC and SPE
reserve and resource classification guidelines are examined and
compared; extensions and modifications that better support both
internal portfolio management and regulatory reserves disclosures are
discussed. Fundamental deterministic and probabilistic assessment
approaches are reviewed; class exercises are used to demonstrate
integrated methodologies that provide improved quality assurance. A
complete set of course materials and lunches are included.
